SAL terminal expansion ‘key’ to boost cargo handling capacity by 2024: GACA President

The expansion of SAL Saudi Logistics Services Co.’s terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport is a key step to implement the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS), said Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) on his Twitter account.

 

The first phase of the project will raise the cargo handling capacity to about 1.1 million tons annually, 2.5 million tons by 2024 and 4.5 million tons by 2030, he added.

 

SAL Saudi Logistics Services launched on Dec. 19, the first phase of the expansion of its new terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Argaam reported.
