Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy and the National Mining Committee at the Federation of Saudi Chambers (FSC) have joined hands to build a natural gas network for industrial zones across the Kingdom, Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported, citing unnamed sources with knowledge of the matter.

The committee is working on a survey study to assess the industrial sector’s need of natural gas in manufacturing processes under a well-studied timeline.

The FSC notified all chambers of commerce to fill in the survey form to assess these needs, the sources added.

The survey covers the quantities of natural gas used in the manufacturing processes, the drivers of better application and the main obstacles that limit or hinder the use of natural gas in production.
