KEIR signs SAR 16.1 mln contract with Ministry of Interior for technical support, fiber-optic network expansion

KEIR International Co. signed, on Aug. 7, contract worth SAR 16.09 million with the Ministry of Interior for technical support, supply of spare parts and renewal of software licenses for the latter’s network devices.

 

In a bourse statement today, Aug. 21, the company said the contract also includes linking some ministries and authorities to the fiber-optic network.

 

The technical support contract with Cisco International includes supplying computers, renewing software licenses as well as providing and expanding the technical support to the internal network for SAR 8.75 million, including value-added tax (VAT).

 

The company implemented several vital projects for the Ministry of Interior’s network in Riyadh, Dammam and Tabuk. Many contracts were signed with a number of government ministries and bodies such as the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the Transport General Authority and the General Authority for Survey, to link these entities to the fiber-optic network for SAR 7.34 million, including VAT.

 

The contract is effective for six months from the signing date, KEIR International said, adding that it will reflect on the company’s semi-annual financial statements for 2022.

 

A copy of the main contract was received and signed on Aug. 18, the company said, adding that the deal does not have any related parties.
