Yousef Al-Hargan, CEO of the National Center for Government Resources Systems (NCGR), said the Etimad platform intends to launch some services for the private sector soon, including the service of selling financial claims, after being approved by the financing sector.

Several sectors, including the public, private and financial sectors, will benefit from the service, CNBC Arabia reported, citing Al-Hargan, who added that the service will reflect positively on the Saudi economy.

NCGR will also offer the service of submitting claims through Etimad platform.

In cooperation with banks, the center will provide another service, represented in granting banks data on contracts related to the private sector, while maintaining data confidentiality and approval of all parties, the CEO said.

He noted that this service will increase financial solvency and help obtain the best financing rates from the banking sector.

Etimad platform has more than two million subscribers, of which 40,000 are from the private sector, and the remaining 450 are government agencies and individuals.

The Ministry of Finance launched Etimad platform in 2018 and a royal decree was issued in 2020, ordering all ministries and government agencies to scrap paper transactions in financial procedures and to fully adopt using the e-services of Etimad digital platform within 60 days, according to data available with Argaam.
