Umm Al-Qura newspaper published, on Sept. 2, the amended tourist visit visa regulations, which came into effect from the date of publication.

Under the regulations, the visa validity depends on the type of the visa, as follows: the single-entry visa is valid for three months, with a residence period not exceeding one month, while the multiple-entry visa is valid for one year, with a residence period not exceeding three months during its validity.

An amount of SAR 300 will be paid as a tourist visit visa fee, and the tourist should abide by the regulations and instructions applicable in the Kingdom. He should carry his identification documents at all times, and should not perform the Hajj, except after obtaining a Hajj visa. Furthermore, he should neither perform the Umrah during the Hajj season determined by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, nor practice any paid or unpaid work.

Saudi Ministry of Tourism announced, on Sept. 1, new regulations to provide GCC residents with the option to apply for an e-visa online and allows residents of the UK, US and the European Union (EU) to apply for a visa on arrival, according to data available with Argaam.
