Supply chains, food security affected by COVID-19, geopolitical tensions: Al-Jadaan

Saudi Minister of Finance, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, said that concerns about COVID-19 and its variants, geopolitical tensions added to supply chain disruptions and food & energy security.

 

There is a need to protect supply chains from any future interruptions, while supporting the position of the Indonesian presidency on the importance of the G20 response to the challenges of energy and food security and the protection of the most vulnerable groups, Al-Jadaan added on his official Twitter account.

 

Al-Jadaan statements came during the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governor Meeting (FMCBG) Meeting in Washington DC.
