Saudi Arabia posts SAR 950.2 bln revenue, SAR 149.5 bln budget surplus in 9M 2022


Saudi Arabia posted revenue of over SAR 950.2 billion and expenditure of SAR 800.7 billion in the first nine months of 2022, with a surplus of almost SAR 149.5 billion, the Ministry of Finance announced today, Oct. 31.

 

In the third quarter, revenue stood at SAR 301.87 billion, while expenditure reached SAR 287.73 billion. The actual budget surplus reached SAR 14.14 billion.

Actual Revenue in 9M 2022:

 

Actual revenue hit SAR 950.2 billion in the first nine months of 2022, a rise of 36% year-on-year (YoY).

 

Oil revenue came in at SAR 663.09 billion in the nine-month period, while non-oil revenue stood at SAR 287.11 billion.

The Kingdom’s public debt increased 4% to SAR 971.8 billion in 9M 2022, from SAR 938 billion by the end of 2021.
