Private sector’s contribution rises in over 18 non-oil sectors: CEO of National Competitiveness Center

Plans to drive non-oil economic diversification succeeded despite global challenges. The integration of government sector raised the private sector contribution in more than 18 non-oil sectors in the Kingdom, Eiman Al-Mutairi, Vice Minister of Commerce and CEO of the National Competitiveness Center (NCC), said.

 

These sectors were led by trade, industry, education, health and tourism, she added, citing the impact of the economic reforms implemented by Saudi Arabia on its global competitiveness and the attractiveness of its business environment.

 

The Kingdom launched numerous advanced initiatives, programs, and strategies within the Saudi Vision 2030.

 

It is making progress in several areas, as evidenced by its positive performance in well-known global reports and indicators, Al-Mutairi added.

 

Moreover, the number of mega-projects implemented in the Kingdom, the size of investment values, and the increasing number of investors in many economic sectors underscores the success of the reforms and their positive impacts that reached global levels. She also spoke about the roles of NCC, such as developing the business environment in the Kingdom to make it more attractive for investors and contributing to identifying and overcoming challenges and obstacles that face the private sector.
