The rate of Internet use by business establishments in Saudi Arabia reached 96.1% in 2022, according to the ICT Access and Usage of Establishments report issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
The authority indicated in its report that the percentage of establishments that used computers amounted to about 94.6%.
Nearly 58.7% of establishments allocated a fixed telephone line to practice their economic activities, while 76% assigned a mobile phone to run their business.
According to the results of the report, the economic activities of the establishments most using the Internet were information and communication activities at 98.9%, followed by activities in the field of education at about 98.6%, and manufacturing industries at 97.6%.

Meanwhile, 52.6% of establishments have an account on social media platforms, with education activities at the forefront, the authority noted.
It also indicated that 69.4% of establishments have an Intranet network, and that establishments with a local area network (LAN) amounted to 68.8%.
In addition, 34.4% of establishments used cloud computing for financial or accounting software applications.
