Saudi Arabia’s Events Investment Fund acquired a significant stake in Tahaluf, the Saudi event’s organizer company which is co-owned by Informa PLC and the Saudi Federation for Cyber Security, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP).

This investment forms part of the Events Fund's investment plan to develop sustainable infrastructure for the culture, tourism, entertainment and sports sectors in the Kingdom, where Saudi Arabia's Sela, a leader in the sports events, hospitality and real estate sector, is scheduled to join Tahaluf soon, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Tahaluf Academy will be established which will annually provide a group of young Saudi professionals with the opportunity to gain practical training and experience in organizing and managing international events through a series of opportunities across Informa's global business, and to benefit further from the professional accreditation program for events recognized in the sector.

Such partnerships align with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 of diversifying its economy, attracting foreign investment and creating high-value jobs for Saudi nationals, the news agency added.

Tahaluf will launch new events focusing on strategically important sectors such as technology, real estate, pharmaceuticals, food, health and beauty, tourism and hospitality. The events organizer also plans to launch more diverse events, including the Saudi Maritime Congress, Global Health Exhibition and InFlavour Food Expo. Meanwhile, it plans to bring Informa brands including the global property exhibition Cityscape, the Middle East beauty festival Cosmoprof and the leading exhibition in pharmaceuticals CPHI.

In January, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman launched the Events Investment Fund (EIF), with a capital of SAR 14 million, Argaam reported earlier.
