Al-Jouf Agricultural Development Co. (JADCO) launched the trial operations at its Al-Jouf-based French fries factory, the company said in a statement to Tadawul today, Oct. 1.
It added that 90% of the project was completed as scheduled, noting that there is no change in the previously announced amount.
The launch of commercial production and any other substantial update will be announced in due time. In December 2020, the board of directors approved a SAR 70 million project to establish a factory to produce French fries, according to data available with Argaam.
In November 2022, the company stated that the trial operations at its French fries factory are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2023.
The company will self-finance the project, and also review other means to raise funds, it said in a statement to Tadawul.
