Saudi Arabia seeks to provide clean, sustainable energy at competitive price: Minister

Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman

Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said the ministry is committed to providing clean and sustainable energy at competitive prices to help the Kingdom become a center for modern technologies and industries.

On the sidelines of the Digital Government Forum, the minister stressed that modern technologies and industries will require a suitable environment, adding that the energy industry is a service sector that is primarily required to provide stable and sustainable sources of green energy.

The ministry is currently working to notably decrease the production, transmission, and distribution of all kinds of energy while cutting the cost related to manufacturing spare parts as well as equipment, he added.

The minister also emphasized the importance of long-term, stable energy prices in order to boost the capabilities of technology companies and allow the Kingdom to offer them energy at competitive prices.

In addition, he believes that the digital transformation is an integral part of all organizations, as it boosts cost-cutting, preemptive action, efficiency, security, and maintenance.
