MSMEs receive SAR 268.6B credit facilities in Q3 2023

Credit facilities extended to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Saudi Arabia rose by 18% year-on-year (YoY) to almost SAR 268.6 billion in Q3 2023, data from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) showed.

 

Banks accounted for SAR 251.6 billion worth of credit facilities, or 94% of the total. Facilities given by financing firms stood at SAR 16.9 billion, or 6% of the total.

Medium enterprises accounted for SAR 152.4 billion (61%) of Saudi banks' facilities, while small enterprises held around SAR 77.9 billion in the third quarter of the year, as shown below:
