US oil inventories rise to over 3M barrels: API

US crude oil inventories increased by 3.03 million barrels during the week ended April 5, American Petroleum Institute (API) data showed.

 

Gasoline stocks fell by 609,000 barrels last week, while distillate stocks—including diesel and heating oil—retreated by about 120,000 barrels.

 

Meanwhile, Brent crude futures for June delivery dropped 1.08% to close at $89.40 a barrel. WTI crude for May delivery also fell by 1.39% to $85.23 a barrel.
