The National Shipping Co’s subsidiary receives a new dry bulk ship

A subsidiary of the National Shipping Co. of Saudi Arabia’s (Bahri),  Bahri Dry Bulk, which is 60 percent owned by the National Shipping, took delivery in Japan on March 31 of a new dry bulk ship, the company said in a statement on the website of the Saudi bourse.

 

The financial impact of the purchase will appear in the 2nd quarter of this year. This is the fifth and last dry bulk vessel which was ordered from Japan in 2012.

 

The ships are fuel efficient and have a capacity of 82,000 dwt and 229 meters long.

 

The National Shipping Co. is 28.1 percent owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
