Fire breaks out in a power station at City Cement Factory

A fire broke out last night in a part of a power station feeding the clinker cooler at City Cement’s plant.

The fire was controlled by the plant’s fire extinguishing unit and the civil defense with no staff injuries; the company said in its filing to Tadawul today.

The clinker’s operations halted due to the fire without affecting the cement production.

The company is currently investigating the causes for this incident and assessing the financial impact under insurance coverage.
