Saudi telcos said to introduce new call rates on May 1

Saudi telecom operators are ready to apply new calling rates​,​ which are set to come into effect on May 1, Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper has reported citing industry sources.

 
In February, the communications and information technology commission (CITC) slashed the kingdom’s wholesale call termination fees by 40 percent to SAR 0.15 from the SAR 0.25 previously charged for the service on mobile networks.
 
The CITC at the time also announced that fixed termination charges will be reduced to SAR 0.07 from SAR 0.10, according to data available on Argaam.
