Saudi Arabia’s Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has launched a comparative study on global telecom prices to ensure that local rates are in line with those in other parts of the world, Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported, citing an official source at CITC.
Argaam reported in February on the CITC’s decision to reduce calling rates of mobile and landline phones in the country by 40 percent. The new rates came into effect on May 1.
