25/08/2015 Argaam

Saudi Arabia’s telecom regulator, the Communications and IT Commission (CITC), has extended the deadline to apply for mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) services, hosted with Zain Saudi.

The new cutoff date is December 10, 2015, the regulator said in a statement.

CITC called on interested applicants to submit their requests in line with the approved specifications.

The commission had previously set August 13 as the deadline for submitting applications.

The telecom watchdog had shortlisted three companies to be awarded MVNO licenses – Axiom Telecom, in collaboration with Zain Saudi, Virgin Mobile MEA (VMMEA), with host provider Saudi Telecom Co. (STC), and Jawraa Group’s (Lebara’s), in partnership with Mobily.
