Yasref to officially launch clean fuel ops on Wednesday

Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Co. (Yasref), which processes 100 percent Arabian heavy crude, will launch clean fuel operations at its refinery on Wednesday, Al-Hayat newspaper reported, citing Khalid A. Al Falih, chairman of Saudi Aramco.

Yasref, a joint venture between Aramco and China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec), began operating at full capacity in July. Its production capacity reaches 400,000 barrels per day.  

In January 2015, Yasref produced 300,000 barrels of clean diesel, its first supply after launching trial operations.
