Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC), the  largest utility provider in the Gulf, has built three renewable power plants, Al-Yaum newspaper reported, citing Fahad Al-Zamil, executive director of customer services.

The three solar plants, which are located in districts of Dhiba Al-Khadra, Waad Al-Shamal, and Al-Aflaj, have a combined renewable energy capacity of 150 megawatt.

Al-Zamil said the new plants are built in line with the Saudi 2030 Vision, without mentioning the cost of the projects.

Saudi Arabia plans to develop an integrated sector for renewable energy investments, mainly focusing on solar power.
