Eastern Cement mill’s trial run not yet complete

Eastern Province Cement Co. (EPCCO) said that the trial run of its cement mill is not yet complete as work is still underway to increase efficiency and reach designed production capacity, it said in a statement on Saudi Bourse, Tadawul.

 

The trial phase is expected to be completed during the second half of 2016 and there is no financial impact expected from the delay, the company added.

 

In March 2016, EPCCO started trial operations of the cement mill project which was to have continued for three months till launch of commercial operations in second quarter of 2016.

 

The company reached a deal with a contractor in February 2013 to build a cement mill with a designed capacity of 150 tons per hour at a cost of SAR 82 million.
