Sahara says Al Waha, SAMAPCO to halt production for maintenance

Sahara Petrochemicals Co. said Al Waha Petrochemical Co. will shut down Al-Waha plant for Propylene and Polypropylene for regular maintenance that will last for 32.5 days as of today.

 

Sahara’s subsidiary Sahara and Maaden Petrochemical Co. (SAMAPCO) will halt production in its caustic soda and EDC unit for 25-day scheduled maintenance as of March 10, 2017.

 

The maintenance shut-down is not expected to weigh on productivity or revenue. However, relevant financial impact will appear on earnings of Q1/Q2 2017.
