24/05/2017 Argaam

Saudi Arabia is set to build 1 million residential units, Saudi minister of housing, Majed Al Hogail, told Argaam on the sidelines of signing an agreement with the Saudi Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC).

The housing ministry seeks to use the latest construction techniques to cut costs, boost quality and reduce the construction period from two years to around 66 months, said Al Hogail

The ministry has a 108-unit project in Riyadh, which will be built in 35 days using the new construction techniques, he added.

Several agreements in this regard were inked in partnership with China and some European countries, and the results will appear during the current year.
