7 things you need to know on Tadawul today

Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Monday.

 

1) A Saudi government committee comprising a number of ministries and government institutions has offered several incentives to private sector firms to encourage them to list their shares on the Saudi Stock Exchange, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.

 

2) The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) has started applying the new trading commissions for exchange traded funds (ETFs) and tradable rights as of Sunday, Sep. 10.

 

3) Saudi Airlines Catering Co. has signed on Sunday a SAR 9 million contract with Flyadeal, a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian Airlines, to provide in-flight catering services and selling onboard food, beverage, and other supplies.

 

4) Jazan Development Co. (JAZADCO) its board of directors on Sunday has accepted the resignation of three independent board members, Adnan Al Khamees, Abdullah Al Rasheed and Mohammed Al Hussein. Meanwhile, the board has appointed three new members, Ahmed Al Sanea, Omar al Mohamady and Fahd Al qathami.

 

5) SABIC procured 45,000 metric tons (MT) of CFR China spot methanol cargoes last week to cover production losses from the shutdown of Ar-Razi plant in Jubail, Platts reported on Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

 

6) Middle East Healthcare Co. (MEAHCO) has sealed a syndicated facility worth AED 370 million (SAR 377.8 million) with Emirates Islamic, together with Mashreq Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) and Arab African International Bank (AAIB) to expand the Saudi German Hospital (SGH) chain in Dubai.

 

7) Oil prices rose on Monday after news that Saudi energy minister Khalid Al-Falih had discussed a potential extension of the oil output deal with his Venezuelan and Kazakh counterparts. Brent crude was last 0.4 percent higher at $54.01 per barrel (bbl), while WTI climbed 0.8 percent to $47.86.
