Ministry of Transport signs road safety deal with US firm

Saudi Ministry of Transport signed on Sunday a contract with US-based TEC Engineering Inc. to provide consultancy services on road safety, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

 

The contract is part of the ministry’s initiative to further improve roads safety and reduce by 25 percent the number of fatalities due to road accidents, by 2020.

 

The agreement includes setting up main offices and sub-offices in all areas of the Kingdom, in coordination with a technical and logistical support office at TEC Engineering’s headquarters in Ohio, USA.

 

TEC Engineering will also upgrade road safety and apply best international practices in the field.
