22/05/2018 Argaam

Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Co. (Go) said the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) rejected the company's request to get the unified telecom license.

The unified license allows operators to offer integrated telecom services including landline.

The regulator's board of directors rejected Go's request, but allowed the company to re-file for the license in the future, the company said in a stock market filing today.

Go said the financial impact of the decision cannot be estimated immediately.
