State-owned Saudi Aramco has a spare capacity of 2 million barrels per day (mbpd) and can meet additional oil demand in case of any interruption in supplies, Reuters reported on Monday, citing company CEO Amin Nasser.
Currently, Aramco is producing 10 mbpd, he added.
OPEC agreed on Friday on a modest increase in oil production from July, following calls from major consumers, such as India, to curb rising fuel costs.
