Saudi Arabia will allocate SAR 3 billion to finance sustainable rural development projects, the Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Munir Al-Sahli, director general of Agricultural Development Fund (ADF).

Smallholder farmers, fishers and livestock raisers will benefit from the planned finance.

Subsidies will be offered for various activities, including agricultural marketing and production, livestock and fishery services, as well as the logistics industry to provide job opportunities for Saudi citizens.

The finance will be offered under a plan developed by the ADF and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Al-Sahli added.
