5 things to watch on Tadawul today

Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Thursday.

 

1) Shuaa Capital announced the issuance and private placement of a SAR 506 million dollar-denominated five-year sukuk for Jabal Omar Development Company as it seeks to strategically diversify its capital base.

 

2) Al Ahsa Development Co. (ADC) on Jan.8 signed an agreement with Twareat Medical Company to buy a 25 percent stake in the company for SAR 15 million.

 

3) Nasdaq Dubai yesterday launched futures trading on the shares of 12 Saudi Arabian companies, with a combined market capitalization of SAR 794 billion ($212 billion), according to a bourse statement.

 

4) Shares of Saudi Telecom Co., Samba Financial Group (Samba), Saudi British Bank (SABB), Alawwal Bank and Mobile Telecommunication Co. (Zain) hit their highest level in 52 weeks on Wednesday, data compiled by Argaam showed.

 

5) Qualified foreign investors (QFIs) increased their stakes in 52 Tadawul-listed firms on Sunday Jan. 6, while 28 companies saw foreign investors cutting stakes, market data compiled by Argaam showed.
