Saudi Arabia’s 4G mobile coverage stands at 90 percent, said Abdulaziz Al-Ruwais governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC).

Mobile subscriptions hit 49.7 million, with a voice service penetration rate of 127 percent across the Kingdom.

The average mobile internet speed hit 31.06 megabit/second (Mb/s).

Additionally, over 15 million terabytes of data was used, with 54 percent and 46 percent for fixed-line and mobile networks, respectively, Al-Ruwais added during the 2019 ICT Indicators event.

In May 2018, the telecom sector regulator issued temporary 5G licenses to the country's mobile operators to conduct 5G mobile trials, he noted.
