Saudi bank loans rise 3% in February 2019

Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors rose 3 percent year-on-year (YoY) by the end of February 2019 to SAR 1.492 trillion, data issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) showed.

 

Private sector lending also grew by 3 percent YoY to SAR 1.442 trillion for the same month.

 

The value of loans given to the public sector jumped 11 percent YoY to SAR 50.4 billion in February.
