Sahara International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) has completed the periodic turnaround maintenance for its affiliate International Acetate Company’s (IAC) acetic acid plant.
Startup activities for the plant began on Aug. 3, the company said in a bourse statement on Sunday.
“During the scheduled turnaround, the required maintenance works were safely completed, which will enhance the reliability of production and allow the Acetic Acid plant to achieve its future operational plans,” Sipchem added.
The financial impact of the maintenance process will show in Q3 2019.
All necessary precautions were taken by the petrochemical producer to avoid any potential impact on customers, the statement said.
