Here’s a list of royal decrees issued by King Salman today

Saudi King Salman issued a series of royal decrees today, Feb. 25, relieving several ministers of their posts, appointing new ministers and setting up new ministries for sports and tourism.

Sulaiman Al-Hamdan, the Minister of Civil Service, was relieved of his post.

- Ibrahim Al-Omar, the Governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), was also relieved of his duties.

- Turki Al-Shabanah, the Minister of Media, was relieved of his post. Majed bin Abdullah al-Qasabi will continue to serve as Trade Minister and will also serve as Minister of Media.

Majed bin Abdullah Al Hogail will continue to serve as Minister of Housing and also serve as Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs.

- The Ministry of Civil Service was merged with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development under the name of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

- SAGIA will be transformed into the Kingdom’s new Ministry of Investment, with Khalid Al-Falih as its minister.

- The Ministry of Commerce and Investment was renamed as Ministry of Commerce.

- The General Sports Authority will be transformed into the Sports Ministry. Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal was appointed as Sports Minister.

- The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) will be transformed into the Kingdom’s new ministry of tourism, with Ahmed Al-Khateeb as the head of the new ministry.

- Mohammed bin Abdullah Saleh was named as Assistant Secretary General of the Saudi Cabinet.

- Sami Al-Hamoud was appointed as Assistant Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources.

- Muneer Al-Dasouqi as Assistant Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
