Saudi Arabia recorded 2,509 new COVID-19 cases during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 59,854 as of Tuesday, May 19, the Ministry of Health announced today.
Nine new deaths were reported today, while the death toll hit 329.
Meanwhile, recoveries reached 2,886 bringing the total number of recovered cases to 31,634, representing 52.9% of total registered cases recorded to date.
The Ministry of Health's official spokesman, Dr Muhammad Al-Abdulali, said that a total of 16,100 screening were done today, bringing the total number of tested cases to 618,100.
A total of 730 cases were reported in Riyadh, 526 in Jeddah, 385 in Makkah, 296 in Madinah, 117 in Hufof, 87 in Dammam, 66 in Taif, 37 in Khobar, 36 in Al Jubail, 19 in Dhahran, 18 in Hazm Al Jalameed, 16 in Qattif and Tabuk each, 12 in Buraidha and Shagraa each, 10 in Al Kharj, 9 in Mahayel Asir, Al Hada, and Najran each, 8 in Namerah, 7 in Hail and Wadi Aldawasir each, 6 in Yanbu and Baish each, 5 Khamis Mushait and Al Quwaiyah each, 4 in Al Jafr, Ras Tanurah, and Ad Diriyah each, 3 in Al Mubarraz, Bqeeq, Tathleeth, Arar, and Hottat Bani Tamim each, 2 in Al Nairiah, Al Mudhailif, Sharorah, Thadiq, and Al Delm each, and 1 in Riyadh Alkhabra, Khaybar, Bishah, Maisan, Um edoum Dhalm, Rabigh, Al Baha, Umluj, Dheba, Sabya, Hafr Albatin, Al Gouz, Thuraiban, Tabarjal, Al Mazahmiah, Dhurma, and Marat each.
