Saudi Arabia records 2,171 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

The total number of coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia increased by 2,171 to 91,182 as of Wednesday, June 3, the Ministry of Health announced today.

Recoveries reached 2,369, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 68,159, representing 75% of total registered cases.

Thirty new death cases were reported, while the death toll hit 579.

In addition, a total of 683 cases were reported in Riyadh, followed by Jeddah (418), Makkah (279), Madinah (167) and Dammam (133).

A total of 16,976 tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of tests to 870,960.

Moreover, the total active cases currently receiving treatment amounted to 22,440 cases, of which 1,321 are critical.
