AlAhli Takaful Co. received the approval of Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) on the board of directors' decision as regards appointing Omar Hashem as chairman of the board.
Hashem is a non-executive director and a board representative of the National Commercial Bank (NCB), the company said in a bourse filing.
The appointment decision is effective as of June 8, 2020 until end of the three-year term on July 31, 2022.
AlAhli Takaful has previously announced the resignation of its chairman Khaled AlGalib AlSharif on March 1, 2020, Argaam reported.
