Saudi Arabia records 1,469 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday

Saudi Arabia recorded 1,469 new COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 8 bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 287,262, the Ministry of Health said.

Recoveries reached 1,492, raising the total number of recovered cases to 250,440 (87% of total COVID-19 cases).

The Kingdom reported 37 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 3,130. Active cases totaled 33,692, of which 1,828 cases are critical.

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 101, followed by Madinah (61), Khamis Mushait (52), Dammam and Jazan (47 each).  

 

The Kingdom conducted 60,800 new tests, bringing up the total number of tests to 3.75 million.
