Saudi Arabia announced a $100 million (SAR 375 million) contribution to the COVID-19 global humanitarian response plan, produced by the United Nations.
This came during a virtual meeting between the permanent representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, ambassador Abdullah bin Yahiya Al-Mo'alemi and UN secretary general António Guterres.
“The Kingdom is supporting the UN international efforts to counter the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to its efforts to help the developing countries and the worst-hit regions to survive the repercussions of the epidemic and other diseases,” said Al-Mo'alemi.
