Saudi Arabia records 561 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

Saudi Arabia recorded 561 new COVID-19 cases today, Sept. 23, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 331,359, the Ministry of Health said.

Recoveries reached 1,102, raising the total number of recovered cases to 313,786 (representing 94% of the total recorded cases).

The Kingdom reported 27 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 4,569.

Active cases totaled 13,004, of which 1,095 cases are critical.

Makkah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 75, followed by Jeddah (51), Hufuf (38), Madinah (37), and Riyadh (34).

The Kingdom conducted 48,854 new tests, bringing up the total number of tests to 6.19 million.
