Saudi Arabian Airlines’ (Saudia) board of directors, chaired by Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, approved to appoint Ibrahim Al-Omar, as new director general, replacing Sami Sindi, effective from Saturday, Oct. 24.
Al-Omar holds a bachelor’s degree in electric engineering from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He also attended the program for leadership development at Harvard Business School. Al-Omar has recently served as the governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA).
