Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with National Water Company (NWC), under which the latter will supply drinking and treated water services to the authority's projects.

The MoU comes in line with DGDA's plans that focus on sustainable environmental development, the state-run SPA reported.

The MoU aims to implement a number of service projects in Diriyah, to fulfill its economic, tourist, heritage and environmental goals.

Mohammad Mowkley, Chief Executive Officer of NWC, said that the preliminary agreement entails supplying DGDA's projects with drinking water of more than 62,000 square meters/daily and treated water of over 174,000 square meters/daily.

Furthermore, the MoU will support mutual cooperation and integration between the two entities in fulfilling future needs, through reviewing the technical studies and specifications for infrastructure projects in water and water treatment services.

It will also support the achievement of Saudi Vision 2030 and the company's strategy as part of the National Transformation Program, the top official added.
