Saudi Arabia decided to extend its COVID-19 restrictions for 20 more days, starting today, Feb. 14, 2021, from 10pm for gatherings, events and dining services, according to the Ministry of Interior.

The decision came in line with the authorities’ efforts to curb the pandemic outbreak in the Kingdom.

These measures will include:

1) Attendance at social events and gatherings should not exceed 20 people.

2) All public entertainment activities and events are suspended.

3)
Cinemas, indoor entertainment centers and independent game centers, including those located in restaurants, malls, or other public places, gyms and sports centers, will remain closed.

4) Dining services are suspended at restaurants and cafes, and food services are limited to delivery or take out only.

“All people should comply with these and other precautionary measures mentioned in the earlier statements, related to events, meetings, gatherings, parties, and funerals,” the ministry indicated.

Earlier this month, the Ministry of Interior announced several precautionary measures for restaurants, cafes, events and entertainment activities, Argaam reported.
