Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Co. (Saudi Kayan) restarted operations at olefins plant on April 15, 2021, after the completion of scheduled maintenance work, the firm said in a statement to Tadawul.
There is no change in the financial impact, which was announced on Dec. 24, 2020.
The maintenance will have a positive impact on the reliability and operating efficiency of the company's plants, the statement added.
On Dec. 24, 2020, Saudi Kayan announced that its olefins plant will be shut down for 36 days, starting from March 11, 2021, for regular scheduled maintenance, Argaam reported.
The financial impact based on the current average prices was estimated at SAR 162 million.
