The Ministry of Transport carried out many actions since the launch of the safety initiative, leading to financial returns for the community estimated at SAR 8.5 billion, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
These actions contributed to reducing accidents by 56%, deaths by 51%, and injuries by 30%, according to the ministry.
The ministry affirmed that it continues to work to raise the level of safety in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of Vision 2030.
The Ministry of Transport is keen to carry out work with the highest standards of safety and quality, in accordance with its operational plan, to complete all projects, and face all challenges and crises, it said.
It aims to enhance operating efficiency and performance as well as provide effective services to the beneficiaries.
