The United Nations (UN) launched today, June 3, 2021, the "Riyadh Initiative" to establish a global anti-corruption network, Al-Arabiya TV reported.

The global platform will link anti-corruption agencies around the world and will provide important funds to confront the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) said the new initiative was launched under the umbrella of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The initiative was welcomed by the G20 and was called the Global Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network).

The main objective of the “Riyadh Initiative” is to develop a rapid and effective tool to combat cross-border corruption crimes.
