Apple picked Riyadh as the location for its first Apple Developer Academy in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Saudi Press Agency reported.

The academy will be dedicated to female programmers and developers, in partnership with Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity and Programming and Drones (SAFCSP), represented by Tuwaiq Academy and Princess Nora bint Abdurrahman University (PNU).

“The academy will provide tools and training for aspiring female entrepreneurs, developers and designers to establish start-ups,” Chairman of the board of directors of Tuwaiq Academy, Faisal Al-Khamisi, said.

He further added that this will support them in finding jobs in the field of iOS applications, by developing programming, business and marketing, design and professional skills.
