Umm Al-Qura Cement Co. announced appointing Majid Tariq Salah Gharbawi as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective Oct. 20, the firm said in a statement to Tadawul today, Aug. 24.
Gharbawi has more than 17 years of experience in the financial and banking sector. His professional career includes many administrative and leadership positions private banks.
Gharbawi has varied experience in the field of entrepreneurship, corporate finance, risk management and finance joint government initiatives.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - majoring in financial management - from the University of Southern California, in addition to many specialized certificates from inside and outside the Kingdom.
The company's board of directors accepted, on July 29, the resignation of CEO Fawaz bin Saleh Almutairi, effective Sept. 1, Argaam reported.
