Saudi Arabia records 224 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

Saudi Arabia recorded 224 COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 31, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 544,449, the Ministry of Health stated.

Recoveries reached 338, raising the total number of recovered cases to 532,850 (98% of total COVID-19 cases).

Active cases totaled 3,054, of which 907 cases are critical.

The Kingdom reported six new deaths, with the death toll standing at 8,545.

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 73, followed by Makkah (34), Eastern Province (20), Al Qassim (16), Jazan (15), Najran (13), and Asir and Madinah (12 each).

Saudi Arabia concluded 61,960 new tests over the last 24 hours, and the total number of administered doses increased to 36.95 million.
