Oil rig
The international rig count – excluding the US and Canada – increased by 26 units month-on-month (MoM) in August, bringing the total count to 777, Baker Hughes energy services firm, a subsidiary of General Electric Co., said in its rig count report.
Rig count in the Middle East dropped by two units MoM and 40 units year-on-year (YoY) to 261 in August.
Rig count advanced by 54 units worldwide to 1,434 in August, from 1,380 in July.
